In the fast-paced industry of web development, it can be really hard to be noticed, even more so when you come from a small country. Nearshoring approach scares a lot of people, especially if they come from an enclosed market such as the EU.

Interestingly enough, our experience shows that the customer's biggest problem actually starts after the project is finished – their development companions simply vanish and no long-term support is offered. We heard this story in numerous occasions – a customer chooses to put their trust into a next door agency, all starts well, but no lasting relationship is conceived. This is where we see our chance to stand out. We believe growing together is the formula to having a happy customer.

Recent circumstances of launching a couple of demanding projects at around the same time gave us an opportunity to organise a trip through some major EU cities and provide TYPO3 training for our clients.

Along with the opportunity to get together with our customers, this trip brought a couple of challenges: Time, distance, different requirements and levels of TYPO3 knowledge. Meeting each client's needs was the most important, so a spot-on methodical approach was of the essence in order to make our trip a success.

First we visited Paris, then Geneva and finished with Zurich. We provided different levels of training, from a get-to-know TYPO3 introduction, through basic editor's training, all the way to more advanced options and tips&tricks.

All the sessions were prepared in advance, with a clear agenda, set priorities and an interactive segment to make sure our customers are actively involved through hands-on experience.

Arranging face to face meetings with clients from abroad is neither easy nor cheap, but it’s an important investment in the partnership future.

It's safe to say our training trip was a success as today our customers feel empowered and autonomous in managing their websites. We are learning and growing together, which testifies to a job well done.
